Over the years, reality TV has produced some of the craziest, bawdiest feuds viewers have ever seen. We’ve compiled the best feuds and ranked them.
- Julie Gentry vs. Kevin Powell. It was the first feud of its kind: The 19-year-old from Alabama and the journalist from New York wound up butting heads on season 1 of The Real World when fellow roommate Heather B., who is African-American, went to answer a beep from her pager, and Gentry asked, “Do you deal drugs?” Powell chided the teen for her ignorance, which sparked season-long discussions of racism and prejudice. This Real World fight paved the way for others including San Francisco’s Puck vs. Pedro Zamora and Seattle’s Stephen Williams vs. Irene McGee.
9. Caitlyn Jenner vs. Khloe Kardashian. This family feud erupted when Jenner came out to the world as transgender and gave a scathing tell-all to Vanity Fair magazine about her marriage to ex-wife Kris Jenner. Kardashian objected to the way her mother was portrayed in the article, and even took Caitlyn to task for expressing opinions that she felt were insensitive to the family. To date, these two are apparently still at it.
Denise Richards vs. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. For reality TV fans, this feud is the gift that keeps on giving. In January 2020, Richards left RHOBH amid rumors that an alleged romance with costar Brandi Glanville had gone horribly wrong. However, fellow cast mates had it in for the star all season long, even bullying her for her busy schedule on other projects.
Kenya Moore vs. Porsha Williams. It was the 2014 Real Housewives of Atlanta “Reunion Special.” Moore brought a prop to the set - a magic wand - which she audaciously waved in Porsha Williams’ direction. After a series of contentious warnings, Williams did a full-on physical take-down of her troublemaking cast mate. The moment even resulted in a lawsuit and Williams being downgraded from a Housewife to a friend of the show.
Danielle Jbali vs. Mohamed Jbali. This couple from 90 Day Fiancé had fans scratching their heads from the moment they appeared on screen together. Ultimately, Mohamed’s indifference towards and lack of physical interest in his social worker wife led to his alleged cheating and their eventual estrangement. Danielle even retaliated with repeated threats to have him deported.
Jenni “JWoww " Farley vs. Angelina Pivarnick. These Jersey Shore cast mates came to loggerheads when JWoww’s fiancé Zack was caught on tape flirting with Angelina in a nightclub as his inebriated girlfriend sat passed out mere feet from the incident. The fallout led to the couple’s breakup, as well as continued bad blood between the former roommates.
Nick Lachey vs. Jessica Simpson. This one-time married couple rose to fame as sweethearts on the MTV’s series, Newlyweds. Their union started out strong; however, media attention, cheating rumors and jealousy soon drove the young couple apart. The show was canceled in 2005, and the couple’s divorce was finalized just one year later. Simpson details the marriage in her memoir, Open Book.
Joanna Krupa vs. Brandi Glanville. Brandi Glanville is no stranger to controversy. She attacked Leanne Rimes after the country crooner engaged in an extra-marital affair with her husband. However, her attack on Joanna Krupa was absolutely shocking. Glanville accused Krupa of having a smelly hoo-ha. The former model wasn’t having it, filing a defamation lawsuit against her former co-star. The ladies reached a settlement in 2017.
Teresa Giudice vs. a table vs. Danielle Staub. The fiery Real Housewives of New Jersey star lost her s**t after overhearing Staub bragging about her latest of 19 engagements. Giudice was further incensed by Staub flirting with Caroline Manzo’s son, Albie. Giudice confronted Staub and chewed her out for her lusty ways, then punctuated her outburst by picking up the dinner table, flipping it over, and calling her a “prostitution whore.”
Kellee Kim vs. Dan Spilo. There are few times these days that an event from Survivor makes national news. This was one of those times.. Kim was voted off the island amid a victim-blaming, #MeToo scandal on Survivor. After being groped repeatedly by fellow contestant Spilo, Kim spoke out against him. However, Spilo was allowed to stay on the show, even though Kim was sent packing during a tribal council vote. It wasn’t until Spilo inappropriately touched an employee of the show that he was eventually kicked off the program.
