Teresa Giudice, of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, is apprehensive about her reunion with her estranged husband Joe. She made the disclosure during a scathing tell-all on Watch What Happens Live.

Host Andy Cohen moderated a sit-down conversation between the couple. Teresa appeared in-studio, while her recently deported husband joined the discussion from a location in Italy. Cohen asked the pair a number of probing questions, like whether they were still attracted to each other, and whether either of them had been unfaithful. However, it was Teresa and Joe’s respective detachment and uncomfortable body language that has everyone talking about the state of their marriage.

When asked about reuniting with Joe, Teresa said, “I’m going to be honest with you, I haven’t seen him in three years and eight months." She went on to say, “I’ve definitely changed. I’m sure he has too. But now like the way I’m seeing him speak, like, he looks like he’s changed … in a good way.” Since his release from prison, Joe has reportedly lost 50 pounds. His streamlined physical appearance speaks to the no-nonsense changes he claims to want in other areas of his life.

Unfortunately, Joe wasn’t as kind to Teresa. He took a couple of shots at her appearance, stating that he might be in the market for someone younger, and that he didn’t feel very attracted to his wife when she was in prison. Teresa felt the same way about Joe, commenting on how it made her uncomfortable to kiss him with other people around during visits. “We’re both two different people now,” she mentioned later in the telecast. “I’m not the same Teresa I was and he’s not the same Joe. I do love him as a person. I don’t know how I’m going to feel when I see him.”

Teresa told Cohen that she was planning a trip to Italy in the coming weeks so that their daughters could reunite with Joe. The girls became incredibly close with their father while Teresa served 11 out of her required 15-months sentence. She didn’t sound too enthusiastic about the trip, but she did allude to keeping an open mind about what the future might bring.

Viewers and entertainment news outlets have dissected the broadcast, and the consensus seems to be that the couple is headed for a divorce. But Joe and Teresa are much more savvy than that. These two have lived the second half of their marriage on camera. Now that prison is behind them, regaining financial stability is going to be incredibly important, especially with their daughter attending Rutgers University. A lot of their dissension on Watch What Happens Live could be well-calculated baiting for their taped reunion around the holidays. Only time will tell.
