Stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice have been flirty and in a “honeymoon stage” with each other since the family’s trip to Italy. The family traveled to Joe’s new home in Salerno, Italy and spent some time with him.
Joe was released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement one month ago on October 11th and then flown immediately back to his home country, Italy, after being in ICE custody since March. Teresa and their four daughters went to visit Joe earlier this month. Back in October, the couple’s relationship was in serious peril. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Joe commented on his lack of interest in his wife. Teresa as well spoke about an unclear future for them to reconcile as a family. At times, the lackadaisical interactions between the two were so uncomfortable that entertainment news outlets were quick to pan a reconciliation in the marriage.
However, it seems seeing each other has changed everything. According to Us Weekly, Teresa and Joe are taking their relationship day-by-day. Teresa even revealed that Joe was very emotional toward his family after the visit. This is in stark contrast to the Joe who sat stoned-faced in an interview with his estranged wife shortly after being deported back to Italy in October. A source close to the couple recently told Us Weekly, “Teresa and Joe have been talking and FaceTiming a ton since she got back to Italy.” Though the insider still is uncertain if the pair will ever reconcile, they revealed, “Who knows what their future is as a couple, but she’s been really happy and in a good place since she got back.” The source explained the estranged couple’s behavior toward one and other, revealing, “Their interactions are a little flirty too, but that could just be the honeymoon stage all over again.”
However, it’s not totally surprising that Joe and Teresa have found their way back to each other. In one of Teresa’s earliest appearances on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she spoke about her never-ending love for her husband and their family. Not only that, but the Giudices are a savvy pair. Teresa understands the format of The Real Housewives franchise. By appearing to dislike each other, she and Joe managed to drum up suspense over what their reunion would look like. From there, they were able to wrangle additional camera time from Bravo, resulting in a crew following the entire family around Italy for a reunion special and another hefty paycheck.
Joe and Teresa have four daughters that they are devoted to, so maintaining a strong connection for them is important as well. Maybe all it took was the lush Italian countryside, provincial food, and architecture, and being together as a family again to foster an air of romance between the two. No matter the reason, Joe and Teresa have a new soundtrack for their budding romance - “That’s Amore.”
