The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi could lose her house over unpaid mortgage bills. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum was told she has one month to find the money and pay up.
Rossi starred on the hit reality show from season 4 to season 8, where she was listed as one of the main housewives. When she premiered on the show, she was going through the grieving process after learning her fiancé was dying from Leukemia. Sadly, her fiancé did pass away during the filming of the show, leading her main storyline to became about Slade Smiley. The two began dating only a short time after the death of Rossi’s fiancé, and Smiley’s split from another housewife. Smiley and Rossi were referred to as the “mean” couple, as they always called the other housewives names during arguments. Rossi eventually decided to leave the show because she was no longer getting along with the main housewife, Vicki Gunvalson, and she wanted to pursue other avenues.
According to The Blast, Rossi was put on a notice of default by Quality Loan Service Corporation; now Rossi and Smiley may lose their family home in a public auction due to the mortgage company claiming she owed $26,000 in back payments. According to court documents, a lien had been put on the house and is set to be auctioned off the to highest bidder on August 26. The auction is scheduled to take place at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Anaheim, California.
The court documents showed that there was an unpaid balance of $43,529.79 owed to the mortgage company. In 2015, Rossi took out a substantial loan for $538,000 to pay for the new condo. The property in question is located in Costa Mesa, which is a gated community boasting three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with a total square footage of 2,306.
As for Rossi, she has not commented on the situation and has yet to marry Smiley, but the couple did welcome their first child recently - a baby girl named Skylar Gray. It is not clear whether the reality star will lose her house, but fans will know for sure at the end of the month. Fans of Rossi’s can also keep themselves up to date by keeping an eye on the reality stars social media, as she is always launching new products and showing off baby pictures. Rumors have ignited that Rossi may also be making a guest appearance on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 14.
