The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast wants Teresa Giudice to stay and not walk away from the hit franchise. They still support her, despite some issues in the past.
Fans will remember Giudice from her table-flipping days back in 2009 when season 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered. Since that fateful dinner with fellow costar Danielle Staub, Giudice’s firecracker moments have been the main plot of the show. In June 2013, Giudice was charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud, and making false statements on loan applications, and she was later sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to all charges. The issue became a headline news story with Bravo doing a check-in show while she was behind bars. Giudice is now waiting to find out if her husband, Joe Giudice, who is currently in Immigrations and Customs Enforcement custody, will be deported.
Giudice is the only OG remaining on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, while other former original housewives, like Vicki Gunvalson, are being demoted to being just friends of the cast. Surprisingly, though, in an interview with US Weekly, Giudice claimed that she has never enjoyed filming the show. She went on to say, “I haven’t enjoyed being on the show. Not as of yet, 10 years on.” The reality star wouldn’t comment further, but she did acknowledge the recent feud with enemy-turned-friend-turned-enemy, Danielle Staub. She hinted at an explosive upcoming season where tensions are running high among all the ladies.
Other real housewives, including Sonja Morgan, Porsha Williams, and Melissa Gorga, weighed in on the possibility of Giudice leaving the popular show. While Morgan said that she believed it had taken Giudice a while to get used to the camera, Porsha said for her it depended on what was going on in her life to whether or not she enjoyed filming. Even Giudice’s estranged sister-in-law had an opinion, saying, “If you aren’t going through what she had to go through, it’s probably a little bit easier.”
With season 10’s premiere date fast approaching Giudice will have to decide whether or not to continue. All the extended housewives think she should stay if only because she is currently a single mother, trying to make a living; and by taking part in the franchise, it helps her to care for her family. As the glue that holds the show together, there is no telling the repercussions that could happen if she chooses to walk away. The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 10 is set to air later this year on Bravo.
