The returning Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has revealed her infant daughter’s untraditional first word and no one believes her. Ahead of Moore’s return to the hit Bravo reality show, the mother of one revealed baby Brooklyn Daly’s uncommon first word.
Moore, who was a former Miss USA, joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta on season five. The beauty queen’s in-your-face attitude would often cause clashes with her castmates and resulted in a longstanding feud with the show’s star NeNe Leakes. But, despite her drama with the other ladies, Moore has built and maintained a close friendship with model Cynthia Bailey, which is ultimately what led to her issues with NeNe, who did not want to share Bailey. Moore left the show after season 10 ended in 2018. During her hiatus from the show, she met and married Marc Daly in 2017 on a beach in St. Lucia, and the couple welcomed their first child soon after. However, after announcing their divorce last month, Moore has been focused on caring for their 11-month old daughter.
The 48-year-old reality star recently revealed to Us Weekly that Brooklyn is already “saying small words. She’s talking now,” Moore said at Baby Quest’s “Let’s Make More Babies” Fundraiser Gala on Monday, October 21. “[Her first word] was neighborhood, but no one believes me. I heard it. I swear I heard it. … She doesn’t say neighborhood anymore. It was just a one-time thing when she said it.” The Bravo personality added that her daughter says “baby and mommy a lot.” The “Gone with the Wind fabulous” Atlanta housewife hit the tabloids before the season has even premiered announcing that she and her husband, Daly, were splitting up after two years of marriage. The shocker came on September 19 when the reality star said she was sad and regretful that she had to tell her fans about her impending divorce.
Moore cited their separation due to a recent and continuing circumstance. “It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband, Marc Daly,” Moore said in a statement at the time. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”
She continued to say that her focus had and always will be her daughter, whom she considers her miracle child. However, Daly released his own statement saying that he was the one that decided to leave Moore. He asked for privacy and didn’t want any rumors to be spread that would hurt his already upset family. But that was before Moore’s recent drama with NeNe over her friendship with Moore’s soon-to-be ex-husband. Now, with her return to Bravo, fans are sure they will get a chance to see all of this new drama play out on the highly anticipated new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 8pm EST on Bravo.
