The Real Housewives of Orange County star, Gina Kirschenheiter, will be receiving just under $10,000 monthly from her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, as per the terms of their divorce. Despite only recently speaking out about the situation, the divorce didn’t come as a surprise to fans.

The couple married back in 2010, and Gina, who was cast to shake things up on the popular Bravo franchise, has been on the show since July 2018 when she was cast as one of the main housewives on season 13. The pair split while Gina during the filming of that season of The Real Housewives of Orange County and Matt is virtually unknown to the Real Housewives community as he is never featured on the show, due to his job forbidding it. Matt’s lack of screen time was taken by viewers as an early indication of marital trouble, even though Gina has defended that saying it was due to his career. The couple share three children together - Nicholas, 7, Sienna, 5, and Luca, 4. Last week on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina had opened up to her co-star Emily Simpson about Matt’s infidelity in the relationship as she tearfully talked about finding out about his first extramarital affair back when the family moved from New York to Orange County.

According to Us Weekly, Gina will receive a total of $9,627 each month from ex-husband Matt, based on Matt’s earnings which total over $400,000 per year. Of that total amount, $4,500 is designated as child support and $5,127 is designated for spousal support for Gina. According to the court documents, the couple will each keep their own clothing, jewelry, personal belongings, and vehicles.

The pair also worked out a custody agreement with Gina receiving primary physical custody of the children, but Matt will share legal custody and will spend time with them on weekends. Initially, Matt was seeking shared custody, but following his domestic violence arrest, he agreed to a temporary agreement granting Gina primary physical custody, though the Real Housewives of Orange County star said she would potentially revisit the custody agreement at a later date. Us Weekly also reported that the couple agreed to take a co-parenting course each month, and never to slander the other on TV or in front of their children.

Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is currently airing, but since the couple has been separated for the majority of the time Gina has been on the show, there isn’t much of a difference in her storylines. With more and more details emerging about their tumultuous divorce, there’s no doubt that this isn’t the last you’ll hear about Gina’s ex-husband.
