Cynthia Bailey confronted Kenya Moore about trying to ruin her proposal. The drama unfolded on the December 29 episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Bailey recently got engaged to Fox sportscaster Mike Hill. The two are planning a wedding in October 2020.

The nearly ruined proposal also seemed to bother Kandi Burruss, who expressed disappointment in Moore’s attempt to undermine the happy event. On the show, Moore divulged to Bailey that she thought the magic moment was imminent. However, instead of being pleased about the assumption, Bailey was quick to call out the insensitive timing of Moore’s disclosure.

“If you knew he was trying to do it to surprise me, why would bring that up to me?” Cynthia asked. Kenya responded, “I just felt it and you know, we always have conversations about my premonitions on things.” That’s when Burruss spoke up and poked a whole in Moore’s logic. “It wasn’t a premonition though,” she said. “We already had a little argument about this situation. Kenya texted me and I was like, ‘Just let her know she needs to hurry because I think he’s about to pop the question.'”

Was it sour grapes that led Moore to hint at the proposal, or was it a simple mistake? According to Porsha Williams, it was a shady attempt to steal Bailey’s thunder. Williams noted during her confessional that Moore’s loose lips would make her wonder if she was really her friend if in Bailey’s shoes. However, Moore wasn’t thwarted. She quickly defended her actions, noting that no shade was intended and even doubling down on her love for Bailey by proclaiming, “Let me just say this. I am happy for you and don’t ever sit here and try to question why I said this … that bitch right there, I ride for her hard.” Bailey’s latest proposal isn’t the first time her love life has become a plot line on Real Housewives. She was married to entrepreneur Peter Thomas on the show back in 2010. Bailey seems to be a bit more protective of her relationship with Hill and has been vocal about putting him and the romance first. She told Bravo in October 2019 that she was even planning to change her last name to Hill once she gets married.

Kenya Moore is synonymous with drama on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, so it should be no surprise that she would try to interlope on Cynthia Bailey’s moment. However, Bailey should also be a bit more cognizant of who her friends are. Instead of feigning surprise that Moore would do so such a thing, it might be advisable for her to relegate the former beauty queen to an activity buddy role in her life, rather than a trusted confidant. As for Moore, she has many other things that should keep her occupied, such as fixing her broken marriage or working on solidifying her relationship with her infant daughter. Regardless, this latest bit of drama resulted in some truly electrifying television, which makes this franchise a must-see among viewers.
