Lisa Rinna’s finally getting some best friend backup. Her close pal Sutton Stracke will reportedly appear as a cast member on season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Sutton and Rinna have a storied history together. The evidence is found in the picturesque displays of their companionship plastered across various social media. The two appeared to have a shared interest in fancy social gatherings, as they were both present at Elton John’s 27th annual Academy Awards viewing party together. Sutton captured the moment in a photograph that showed her flaunting Alexis Mabille fashion and Brian Atwood footwear.
While filming for the reality series has already started, a source revealed to Us Weekly that it is unclear as to whether Sutton will be full-time or relegated to “friend” status. According to another insider, Camille Grammer’s role for the new season is not yet finalized, but returning castmembers Lisa, Kyle Richards, Teddi Mellencamp, Denise Richards, Dorit Kemsley, and Erika Jayne are all but confirmed to return. However, season 9 was Lisa Vanderpump’s last; she announced her departure from the series in June. Meanwhile, reports from filming have indicated that Sutton was currently on good terms with Kyle and the other housewives.
The popularity of the Real Housewives franchise and the fame bestowed upon its prominent cast have captured the attention of quite a few well-known celebrities wanting to appear on the highly-rated show, such as Tori Spelling. On August 5, the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress revealed that, despite conveying her interest, casting directors had not reached out to her about joining the Bravo series. Tori, who is friends with Real Housewives stars Lisa Rinna and Denise, expressed her disappointment over not being considered for an appearance, despite what she says are her lofty credentials.
Throughout the show’s time on the air, the Real Housewives franchise has evolved from a peek into the lives of the super-rich to a genuine star-making vehicle that has succeeded in making its cast even more rich, as well as famous. So, it’s not surprising that famous faces like Tori Spelling are lining up to appear on The Housewives of Beverly Hills, which likes to proudly brandish the cast’s celebrity connections. Even though Tori didn’t make the cut, there’s always the chance that she could land on the show in the future, if she can provide the ratings and drama the audience craves.
Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to premiere in 2020.
