When it comes to reality TV gold, no one does it better than Bravo. Sir Andy Cohen is the executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise and has turned a show about wealthy women and their families into a full-on legacy. He is without a shadow of a doubt, the King of Bravo.
There are currently 10 cities in the Housewives franchise (Salt Lake City is supposed to premiere later this year) with spin-offs popping up left and right. The most popular of them all has to be Vanderpump Rules (a crossover between RHOBH’s Lisa Vanderpump and her staff at Sur), then there’s Don’t Be Tardy (starring RHOA’s Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her large family), all of the wedding spin-offs, and let’s not forget about every Bravo fan’s Super Bowl: BravoCon. With so many iconic franchises, moments, and individuals (dare we say characters?), let’s take a look at 10 completely fictional crossovers we’re hoping have a future.
Housewives: Kids Edition
While most Bravo fans tune in every week for the endless amounts of drama and out of basic curiosity, others have grown attached to the families they meet in the franchises. We’ve seen some of these women and their families grow since the early 2000s. Their children have literally grown up in front of our eyes and it would be cool to keep up with all the kids from the Real Housewives franchises.
Let’s see what Vicki Gunvalson’s son Michael is doing at Coto Insurance. Let’s follow Ramona’s daughter Avery as she tackles New York City like her mother. Let’s see how Cynthia Bailey’s daughter is making an impact in the LGBTQ+ community. We’ve seen enough of their moms, let’s watch these kids follow their dreams instead.
Tamra & Vicki Take On The OC
Say what you will about the recent dismissal of Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvulason and Tamra Judge, but these two women are news-worthy. As of late, Vicki has said some pretty serious remarks that offended the LGBTQ+ community and Tamra is going through a lot herself.
Not only is her husband going through heart issues but her ex-husband just came forward about his stage 3 throat cancer. As dramatic and sometimes dark as these two women are, it’s hard to say we wouldn’t watch a show about these two women starting over without their oranges.
The Real Housewives All-Stars
Remember the show The Real World and then its spin-off The Challenge? Well, how amazing would it be to do something similar with the fancy ladies of The Real Housewives? This idea could go a couple of ways.
We can have one member of each franchise living in the same house, going through different challenges to see who the toughest housewife is. Or we can have Andy’s top pick of housewives and have them do their own season together. Either way, seeing a crossover of housewives from different cities is a dream for many fans.
In The Gym With Teddi & Tre
While a spin-off of the Giudice and Gorga families would be forever entertaining (even a spin-off on how Joe Giudice is adjusting to life in Italy), a crossover between RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice and RHOBH’s Teddi Mellencamp would be incredibly interesting solely from a fitness standpoint.
Teresa got in insane shape when she was locked up and continued her dedication to health and wellness after she got out. She now does fitness competitions and is always at the gym getting a sweat in. Over in Beverly Hills, Teddi has an amazing weight loss story and her commitment to fitness shows in her ALL IN coaching program. Having these two women team up to help others get in shape and share their stories could be an amazing way to highlight the balance between health and wellness.
Mauricio Umansky & Million Dollar Listing
Kyle Richards was a great snag for the Real Housewives franchise. She was a child star who grew up in the limelight and is now the aunt to the Hilton children for crying out loud. She’s also married to one of the most successful real estate brokers in world, Mauricio Umansky.
He has his own firm (The Agency) and is always thinking about how to expand his business. He’s also an incredible husband and father to their children and is so likable. Seeing him hook up with those on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing would be nothing short of amazing. Even giving him his own show revolved around The Agency could have similar success to Vanderpump Rules.
The Hadids & And The Rinna-Hamlins
When Yolanda Hadid entered the Housewife world, she was still married to David Foster and her kids’ modeling careers were not anywhere near where they are today. Nowadays, more people know her kids more than her!
Likewise, when Lisa Rinna joined Housewives, her daughters aspired to be like the Hadid girls and are now small model sensations themselves. Seeing a reality TV show revolved around the Hadid-Hamlin kids could be eye-opening. Even seeing them join together for a modeling competition could be solid TV.
Phaedra & The Law
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is a force to be reckoned with. Not only is she a reality TV star but she’s also a lawyer, an author, and the mother of two children. There is nothing Phaedra can’t do and she always holds herself with such class and dignity.
With her law firm, The Parks Group, P.C., it would be unreal to see a spin-off of her dealing with different cases at work or even teaming up with other housewife stars who also work in law. Parks can team up with RHOBH’s Tom Girardi (Erika Jayne’s husband) or RHOM’s Ana Quincoces!
Jailbird Housewives: Locked Up Edition
The sad reality is that there are far too many Bravolebrities that have been arrested for doing foolish things. They seem wealthy and classy on TV but the truth is, many of them have a dark side. RHONY’s LuAnn, Tinsley, Sonja, and Kelly Bensimon have all been arrested for different crimes.
And so has Kelly Dodd and Gina Kirschenheiter from RHOC, Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards from RHOBH, and NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams from RHOA (and that’s not even all of them!). Seeing as so many of them have been locked up, seeing some sort of educational “scared straight” with all the members who have been arrested would shockingly interesting.
The Housewives Cookoff
Between Lisa Vanderpump’s Sur (and Villa Blanca, TomTom, and Pump), Kandi Burruss’s Old Lady Gang, Ashley & Michael’s Oz Restaurant & Bar, and beyond — there are plenty of Real Housewives with their own restaurants and cookbooks.
How unreal would it be to see the foodies in the franchise go head-to-head in cook-offs with Bravo mega-fan Chrissy Teigen as its host? The same can be done with the women who’ve created their own alcohol and wine (we’re looking at you, Ramona)!
Erika Jayne & Broadway
Real Housewives fans were pumped for Erika Jayne when she scored the coveted role of Roxie Hart in Broadway’s Chicago. As a performer, Erika was made to be in the spotlight but there’s nothing quite like seeing a housewife on Broadway (LuAnn is probably shaking in her heels in jealousy).
Seeing some sort of spinoff of Erika preparing for broadway would be incredible for fans of hers. Or a mashup between her and LuAnn from RHONY auditioning and performing could add some real spice to their respective singing careers.
