Bethenny Frankel is exploring her options now that she’s left The Real Housewives of New York City, she’s started a new show called The Big Shot With Bethenny which is basically The Apprentice. Bethenny ruffled feathers when she chose to walk away from the hit franchise, leaving behind angry fans and co-stars, but it seems she’s trading it all in to cash in on her big idea.
Back on August 21, The Real Housewives Of New York City all-star made it official once again, announcing she would be departing from the hit show. Frankel detailed her reasoning behind the move, saying she wanted to focus more on her franchise and spend quality time with her daughter. The reality star wanted to focus on being a mom, which she could now do because of her financial stability. She did make sure to thank her fans and express her gratitude for the chance to star on such a great show. The tycoon also revealed she would be starting her own show which would concentrate on female entrepreneurs.
According to Reddit, HBO Max decided to green light Frankel’s new reality show entitled, The Big Shot With Bethenny. The premise seemed to copy the idea behind The Apprentice as the reality star was set to headline a new business competition series. HBO Max was said to have agreed to an 8-episode season that will be produced by Mark Brunett and B Real Productions. Burnett was also the man behind the NBC show which would make sense that the new show mimics ideas from the old one. Each episode will run a half-hour long and is aiming to find the next generation of business industrialists. The contestants will be competing for a chance to become second-in-command to Frankel’s Skinnygirl franchise. The desirable position will make the winner a part of the reality stars executive team.
The show will put the contestants through a series of real-life challenges with each aspiring mogul being challenged to see how far they can push their creativity. MGM will also be producing the series and have high hopes for it becoming popular among fans. Though fans of The Real Housewives of New York City are split down the middle regarding their opinions of her new show, many believe she made a bad decision when she chose to leave Bravo behind as she was the star of the show and a long-time fan favorite.
Frankel was adamant about trying a new adventure as she tired of just playing a housewife. The mother of one would like to be defined as a person who was a driven, passionate, and hard-working woman. Now she would like to give someone else a chance to achieve the impossible.
