Apple will reportedly continue to bundle a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter with its new lineup of iPhones this fall, the same as it did with iPhone 7 last year to help ease the transition for customers to a device without a traditional headphone jack. If today’s Digitimes report is to be believed, Apple has a spec-updated iPad Mini due later this year, in time for the holidays. Details are, of course, scant but a slightly updated version of the current iPad mini which is expected to be ‘lighter, thinner and equipped with improved specifications’ is said to be targeted for a 2nd half of 2013 release. Digitimes recently reported that their supplier-based contacts say that Apple is currently prototyping two versions of the third-generation iPad.
